First Indonesian Aircraft Pioneer Blenheim Anson

Two great aircraft kits from Yvan Gaudart .

These two planes are the pioneer of Indonesia Aviation. Avro Anson VH-BBY (RI-003) and Sakai Blenheim (with the flags on the picture).

Avro Anson is English aircraft ex-Australia bough and used to breakthrough Dutch blockade during the early Indonesian independence era. Also known as RI-003, even though the registration marking was never carried on the aircraft. The aircraft flew a few times before crashed due to bad weather at Tanjung Hantu, Malaya. Both pilots,  Halim Perdana Kusuma and Iswahjudi died.

The other plane is Blenheim whose engine has been replaced with Japanese Sakai engine. It flew for a few minutes before crashing during test flight. No casualties, but it proved that Indonesian technician, with limited tools can join together Japanese engine with western (English) aircraft.
